Challenge

Aichi Prefectural University faced an urgent need to enhance their audio equipment to support growing demands for online and hybrid classes. The university's large lecture halls, accommodating up to 300 students, were equipped with traditional lavalier and handheld microphones, which had issues like battery life and user inconvenience. They needed high-performance microphones to cover large lecture spaces and ensure clear audio without frequent technical problems.

Solution

The university opted for ceiling array microphones that could cover the entire lecture hall. They selected Shure's MXA920 Ceiling Array Microphone due to its excellent audio quality and user-friendly features. After a successful demonstration with faculty, they installed the MXA920 in their lecture rooms (13 total). Additionally, they adopted the MXA902 Ceiling Array Microphone + Loudspeaker for their international online exchange spaces.

Advantages

Shure's MXA920 microphones improved the quality of online and hybrid classes, ensuring clear audio from anywhere in the room. Faculty and students highly rated the system for its ease of use and reliability. The Voice Lift feature also facilitated natural communication during lectures and discussions. The success of the MXA920 led to increased demand for Shure solutions in other rooms and for different events. The intercultural exchange space with the MXA902 enabled seamless international communication, expanding its use for various activities.

The faculty highly appreciates Shure's sound quality and ease of use, and they are able to utilize it naturally without any issues.
